Performaxion®
What Results Are You Looking For?
Do you want to lose weight, "tone up", increase muscularity or improve performance? Whatever the goal, the key to success lies solely on program design. Properly designed fitness Training Concepts should be based on principles of physiology and movement in order to create total conditioning relative to an individual's fitness goals. But what does "fitness" actually mean and how does an individual get "fit"?
Getting "Fit"
Getting "fit" is accomplished through exercise and exercise requires movement of the body. Therefore, fitness should be a focus on movement. There are infinite movement patterns the body is capable of performing. Unfortunately, many fitness "gurus" haphazardly incorporate many of these movement patterns into unorganized and incompatible training Training Concepts which, in most cases, lead to frustration and failure in the quest for success.
Metabolic Enhancement Through Strength
A key point to understand is this: as muscular force increases so does caloric expenditure and metabolism. Strength training is the component by which muscular force production is enhanced and increased metabolic potential achieved. Unfortunately, strength training is often misconceived as merely "bulking up" muscles.
The truth is that properly applied strength training Training Concepts are essential to accomplish specific fitness goals such as weight loss and muscular development.
The Cardiovascular Component
Cardiovascular exercise increases the ability to tolerate continuous activity for prolonged periods or at high levels of intensity [metabolic conditioning essential for weight loss or performance enhancement]. In conjunction with strength training, properly structured cardiovascular exercise enhances lean body muscularity & weight/fat loss.
Performaxion® Is Born
A house built on an unstable foundation is a blue print for disaster. Welcome to PERFORMAXION®, a semi-supervised 12-week program focused on the development of stability, strength and conditioning into efficient, progressive movement patterns which set the stage to make any individual fitness goal a reality. During the 12-week program fundamental principles are applied to maximize body awareness by experiencing the following components at work:
- The Abdominal Stabilization Complex.
Most abdominal exercises fail in goal achievement simply because it takes more than sit-ups & crunches to create a lean physique.
- Trunk: The Key Limiting Factor.
This often dysfunctional connection between our upper & lower extremities can bring progress to a screeching halt.
- Efficient Movement Development
Setting the stage for progression from "Point A" to "Point B".
- Application of Movement: Resistance & Cardiovascular
Training.
Exercises alone do not result in goal achievement. Realization of long-term fitness goals are the result of properly applied principles.
